SEPHORA BLACK FRIDAY HAUL – ZOEVA & BEAUTY BLENDER

Hi guys!!! Long time no talk πŸ™‚ I have been inactive here for a while because it’s been too busy at work and I’ve just came back from a 2 week holiday in Bali! πŸ™‚ As you may or may not know, last Friday was the infamous Black Friday sale online and in stores. Not every country participates since this is mainly an American tradition. Luckily for us in Australia, some stores participated, including Sephora πŸ™‚ I didn’t go too crazy because I’m trying to be good from buying too much makeup haha.

I have been eyeing on the Zoeva brushes and I do need a few new ones, so this was perfect timing! I really wanted the eye brushes set but it was sold out πŸ™ So I only got my paws on the face brush set, still good! Then I thought I’d give the Beauty Blender a go since everyone raves about it πŸ™‚

IMG_5197

Let’s start off with the Zoeva brush set πŸ™‚ I love the simple black matte cardboard packaging with rose gold lettering!

IMG_5200

At the back of the box it tells you which brushes you get in the set. This contains 8 face brushes and Sephora had a 20% of everything sale so it was down to around $100 πŸ™‚ Which is an absolute bargain for 8 quality brushes!

IMG_5202

When you open the box, you will notice the brushes and clutch is separated in their own plastic wrap. Which is a great idea so it keeps the brushes clean and still πŸ™‚

IMG_5203

All of Zoeva brush set contains a matching clutch which doubles as a casual clutch or makeup bag πŸ™‚ It matches the brushes in the black and rose gold theme!

IMG_5210

First thing I noticed was the smell of the handles, I love it! πŸ™‚ It smells like wooden pencils because of the wood. The ferrules feel sturdy and luxurious to hold too.

IMG_5213

Aesthetics wise, this brush set is so beautiful to look at and to use πŸ™‚ There was a different colour way, which the brushes had a soft pink handle and rose gold ferrules. It’s super cute but I like the contrast of black and rose gold better πŸ™‚

IMG_5217

Close up of the brushes! Each handle is engraved with the brush number and name. You can see there is a mixture ofΒ white and duo coloured bristles, but these are all synthetic bristles. Which makes it easier to clean up and it doesn’t absorb liquid or creams so you won’t waste product as much as using a brush with natural bristles πŸ™‚

IMG_5220

On the other side of each handle is engraved with Color. Love. Makeup πŸ™‚ This is cute!

IMG_5222

Now for the clutch, it’s made of faux leather with a textured surface which is great if you tend to scratch or thrash your bags around! πŸ™‚ The Zoeva logo is glued firmly and looks clean. I love the matching zipper handle too!

IMG_5225

The interior of the clutch features an aubergine fabric and a small interior pocket for your little things πŸ™‚

IMG_5227

Here is a size comparison between the clutch and the brush! It can fit all brushes in with no problem and offering extra space too! πŸ™‚ If you have more brushes to fit in or makeup, you certainly can.

IMG_5228

And now a little action shot of all the brushes together in a jar πŸ™‚ These bristles are all very soft for being a synthetic bristle so I’m very happy about that. I can’t wait to use them!! All these brushes can all be used for more than one purpose, so don’t shy away from only using it for one part of the face!

IMG_5234

Next up is this Beauty blender pack that caught my eye πŸ™‚ Usually it costs $20AUD for one beauty blender, but this pack was down from $53 to $42! Which is a bargain since you get x2 full size original beauty blenders along with a full size Blender cleanser πŸ™‚

IMG_5236

The original beauty blender is pink, but since then successful launch they have also released a black blender, white blender, red, and the green mini blenders! πŸ™‚ They all have a different surface made for different purposes!

IMG_5240

This Blender cleanser design is super helpful and easy to use! It’s just like a liquid soap which helps get rid of foundation, oil makeup or creams πŸ™‚ The fact it comes with a pump makes life so much easier haha.

IMG_5241

When you open the lid you can see that its similar to the lids you see in a beauty salon where it dispenses nail polish remover! All you do is press your sponge onto the surface and it deposits the cleanser onto it. Then you work into a lather while the beauty blender is damp πŸ™‚ Before this, all I do is use a classic bar of soap, which can be a bit time consuming. It says that you can also use this liquid to clean your brushes too!

IMG_5243

Now the x2 beauty blenders are housed in this plastic cylinder container with instructions and info of the product!

IMG_5245

I love the bright pink coloured sponges πŸ™‚ I noticed how soft these beauty blenders are compared to regular sponges! They bounce back very quickly and the surface looks more porous than regular sponges.

IMG_5250

You are meant to soak the blender lightly until it inflates in size, then you can start dabbing it onto your face πŸ™‚ I normally don’t use sponges to apply foundation because I don’t want to waste product, so it will be interesting when I start testing this out! You can also use the original beauty blender to apply powder, bb creams, cream and blush! πŸ™‚

IMG_5254

As you can see, the close up of the sponge shows the texture of the original beauty blender πŸ™‚ The black beauty blenderΒ can be used to bronzer, tanner, long wear makeup as well as darker makeup. The white beauty blender is used to apply serums, moisturisers and skin care on the face. And lastly, the micro beauty blender is used to highlight, conceal and use to spot correct on the face πŸ™‚

IMG_5255

I will be making a makeup video that includes the use of these 2 new products I’ve bought so keep an eye out πŸ˜‰
