If you have never been to Rustic Pearl, located in Surry Hills, I advise you to go, NOW! It’s one of my new favourite cafes to brunch at 🙂 and you’ll see why!
Whenever I go on dates with my girlfriend she would find a few cafes we both have never been to and decide which one to try on the day. I am so grateful we have decided to try this cafe out! 🙂 The food and drink menu is wide with options plus the price range is reasonable for it’s quality and presentation 🙂 This place scored some serious Joey ratings! XD
First we were greeted by the waiter and got seated down quickly. Luckily it wasn’t so packed so we didn’t need to wait too long hehe but the cafe was buzzing! It was around 1-2pm on a weekday. As we were seated the waiter came out with 2 empty glasses each with a slice of lemon and mint leaf. The jug of water also came with a lemon sitting on the top which made a cute and quirky stopper for the jug haha. There was also a little dish of salt for your meal.
It was such a sunny and warm day so we ordered our drinks first and the fellow foodies next to us ordered these amazing looking drinks. So I had to get what they are sipping on haha! It was the Turkish apple iced tea with lemon, rose, mint and cucumber and the Homemade minted lemonade with seasonal fruits 🙂
Omg these are so refreshing and tastes so amazing!!!!! I am addicted to it and I am craving for this as I type haha. I have to get the recipe for these teas! They also look so pretty and colourful on the table too, since you eat with your eyes anyway!
This is the Turkish apple iced tea which I chose and it was fruity, fresh and more on the sweet side thanks to the apple! I love how there were pomegranate seeds inside haha. You just give it all a stir together and you’re ready to drink! I also love how it came with a metal straw. Major chill factor!
This is the Homemade lemon iced tea. I love how colourful this look! It was more on the sour side though! But still fruity and fresh 🙂 I love how all the fruits and ingredients used in these drinks are all fresh and crisp! None of them were soggy or discoloured.
Now for our meals, my girlfriend ordered the Bosphorus Benedict which included yummy char grilled Bay lobster flesh, crushed avocado & 2 poached organic eggs topped with home-made hollandaise, fresh chives, coriander and chilli 🙂
She enjoyed her dish and it was presented so well! Look at that close up! I love eating colourful dishes because it looks good and it tastes great!
As for myself, I ordered the Eggs Royale 🙂 This included 2 poached organic eggs, wilted seasonal greens, Petuna smoked trout topped with home-made hollandaise and a side of tomato relish!
If you know me, I am a big lover of Eggs Benedict or anything similar!! And this is hands down, one of the BEST ones I’ve ever had 🙂 Also one of the best presented too haha. I loved the tomato relish on the side because it gave a tangy bite. The hollandaise sauce is so creamy and rich, which I love!
Look at that yolk porn 😉 I love a perfectly poached egg with yunny yolks!! 11/10 from me haha
Let’s talk about the environment! This cafe may be small, but it gives a cozy feeling while dining 🙂 I love the theme too, which makes you feel at home! There are a lot of bricks wood and DIY crafty elements in this space.
This is the opposite side of the cafe, where I sat on the cushioned chair 🙂 I like the little ornaments and décor on top!
This is my view from where I sat, and on the right is the entrance! I had such an enjoyable meal and time chatting away with my girlfriend at this cafe and I can’t wait till I get some time off to bring my other friends with me because everyone has to check this place out! 🙂 I look forward to trying different meals and you can also check out their menu on their Facebook page! 🙂
