When I look for new cafes to dine at, I usually see where my friends go, what’s talked about, or I even go on Instagram and search things up! Paper Plane Cafe was a cafe I found because my friends were raving about it. So, with my time off I finally went there with my friends 🙂 This cafe is located at Parramatta and its close to Church St! Their kitchen closes at 2pm daily so make sure you wake up early and fit in some amazing brunch for your tummy 😛
Firstly, we started off with drinks. My friend got a milkshake, glass of water and Iced Mocha. While I got my usual Chai latte 🙂 They did well and it tasted great! I love the light blue saucer hehe.
Then our dishes arrived, yay! I ordered the “The Tiny Dancer” which was like an Eggs Benedict with salmon 🙂 I love this stuff! I think it was interesting to have the salmon and avocado on the side rather than sitting on the sourdough 🙂 The Sourdough was toasted to perfection, it gives a big crunch when you bite in! The eggs were poached perfectly too, with a runny yolk awaiting for you pierce it haha. I loved that they added a few asparagus sticks there with some grilled tomatoes. You can find spinach on top of the bread and drizzled with their house Hollandaise sauce. A slice of lemon is there to dribble on top of your salmon 🙂
Close up of my dish 🙂 I love food that is served on a wooden board! It makes the picture look more interesting because of the added texture and neutral colour against the colourful food 😛
Then my girlfriend got “The Big Brekkie”! This dish has everything for a fantastic big breakfast 😛 I love how hers is also served on a wooden board! As you can see, there is yummy sliced chorizo, 2 perfectly fried eggs with a runny egg yolk, hash brown, sautéed mushrooms, fresh rocket, grilled tomatoes served with fried bacon on top of toasted sourdough bread 🙂 I had a nibble of her dish and I love the flavours!
I love rocket so much and it goes so well with all the fried stuff haha. I love Chorizo so much, I have to order this dish for myself next time 🙂
My other 2 friends had ordered the same dish 😛 Again, I forgot the name of this combo, but it was along the lines of a “Pulled pork sandwich” ? I do remember that it said “….with a side of bad boys” because we all had a good laugh out of it LOL!
The guys really liked this meal, such a hearty meal for your first meal of the day haha! There was tender, pull-apart pork pieces with melted cheese, topped with a slice of pickle and chunky, crispy chips on the side. (They are probably the “bad boys” :P)
Close up time! How amazing does this sandwich look? They both loved it! In fact, we all loved our dishes hehe.
Pickles goes so well when it’s paired with a meat sandwhich/burger 🙂 We were all in food comas afterwards haha.
Overall, our experience here was fantastic! We had to wait for around 10-15mins because it is a popular joint 🙂 But well worth the wait! I can’t wait to come here again to try the french toast and big brekkie! 😛 The pricing was average, a dish costing around the $20s or under! Drinks are the same, around under $8 🙂
