Maybelline is a brand that I’ve been using since high school! It’s that brand that you can start playing with because it’s affordable and the quality is brilliant 🙂 I decided to try out their Color Drama pencils and the popular Age Rewind concealer that a lot of people talked about.
I have chosen the “Light” shade because I am pale during the Winter season and when I’m tanned in Summer I like the bright under eye look. So this shade is perfect for me all year round! 🙂 I might just get the Medium shade too because I love this concealer so much. It’s so easy to use and I love the sponge applicator.
With 6ml of product, this stuff can last you almost a whole year because a little goes a long way. I would say it gives a medium coverage but buildable 🙂
There’s no particular scent either so thats great, and the design of the product is so handy that all you do is twist the neck of the applicator and it dispenses the right amount on the sponge 🙂
You can see how soft and fluffy the sponge head is! I like how its a dome shape so it applies on the skin evenly and gently. When you press the sponge harder on the skin, it will dispense more product, so I usually just dab lightly onto my face 🙂 A plus with the sponge head applicator is that it dispenses product straight onto the face and you can blend it out at the same time! Double win 🙂
This is how the “Light” shade looks on my hand 🙂 As you can see how natural it looks when blended out! It has a satin matte finish, so it’s not drying when I apply it under my eye 🙂
I also have to mention how awesome the design of this concealer is, because you will not have any wastage like you get with concealers that is in a tube container! This is how my concealer now looks like haha. All that wear and tear 🙂 But you can see clearly how clean this tube is because the concealer is dispensed perfectly in that tube 🙂
Now onto the lip pencils! I’ve been loving Maybelline’s Color Drama lip pencils ever since I tried these 🙂 It’s exactly like a lipstick, pigmented, long lasting and has a satin-matte finish. I think it’s super handy to have when you travel because it’s light weight and easy to apply. So I decided to buy 3 colours and try em out! I hope one day they will bring out more shades hehe. This shade is #410 Fab Orange.
First up, it’s #630 Nude Perfection. I love this shade! It’s a beautiful nude beige tone that doesn’t look dull on my complexion.
These pencils are shorter than your average lip pencil, however it is a chubby pencil so it evens out I guess 🙂 Good thing is that since it’s small, you can bring these with you everywhere you go!
Now this is #110 Pink So Chic! I love this colour, it’s a purple pink but I like how it doesn’t look so dark on the lips. So it’s a great alternative if you want to try wearing purple but are a little shy to rock a dark purple lip 🙂
The gang together 🙂 If you read my MAC lipstick post, you may remember that I said Fab Orange is very similar to MAC’s Lady Danger matte lipstick 🙂 I love bright orange red lipsticks because it just brightens up your complexion! I think these 3 colours are staple colours that you can wear all year round.
This is how Fab Orange looks! Depending on the lighting, sometimes it may look more orange or red 🙂
With Nude Perfection, you can see how beautiful this is! The perfect nude that’s not too pink or brown 🙂 You can also see the finish of these lipsticks aren’t a flat matte so it does help keep the lips from drying out.
Now I haven’t taken a selfie wearing Pink So Chic, but I will update it here when I do 🙂 For now this is the only picture I have of me wearing this lipstick haha. It’s not a close up but you can see that in some lighting it can look dark and purple! (Which I like). There was a story with this picture and lipstick, it was my first time wearing it, and during lunch I lost it! I think it fell out of my bag when I was taking something out. So that is why I haven’t taken a selfie wearing this colour yet haha. I only had recently repurchased this so I’m happy to have it back!
