So last week MAC had finally launched their limited edition Giambattista Valli lipsticks in Australia! 🙂 I have been waiting for the pink one ever since I saw it online from other countries that had got it early. The packaging is super cute and I couldn’t say no to an all pink lippie! 😛
The packaging is just gorgeous! It’s a classic MAC box packaging but with a flower background and GIambattista and MAC logo 🙂
On the top of the packaging and the bottom of the lipstick there’s the sticker of the shade’s name 🙂 I have chosen the colour “Bianca B”
And inside the box packaging is super cute too! It’s got a pink interior 😛 It’s such a beautiful shade of pastel pink!
Viola! The lipstick. I love looking at a freshly cut lipstick, it makes me feel bad for using it because it won’t look like that no more haha 😛 For the price breakdown, it costs $40 which is $4 more than a regular lipstick for $36 and you get 3g of product which is a standard size!
There are also other shades in this collection, 5 in total including the pink 🙂 There is also a soft orange, raspberry pink, classic blue red and a blackberry shade! I think all these shades are wearable, however some of the colours most people would have something similar in their kits. So I gave the other colours a pass since there are many dupes for them! 😛 Though I don’t have a shade similar to Bianca B, so it was another reason why I got it.
It’s swatch time!! 🙂 This lipstick has a matte finish, so it can look drying once applied on skin. You can see that above 🙂 On the left side I had applied 2 layers on top. On the right I had applied only 1 layer. So this lipstick is buildable in colour 😛 As you can see, this shade of pink is quite bright, it’s like a pastel pink leaning towards the white side. It definitely looks more lighter than how it looks on the bullet! Quite misleading 😛 But I don’t mind hehe.
This is how the colour looks directly applied on my bare lips! You can see it’s highlighting my lip lines haha. I do know it won’t look so bad with some lip balm underneath, then have some lip liner to help smooth out the lip lines. You can see that difference below 🙂
This is a look I wore with Bianca B 🙂 The lips look so much better after prepping it instead of applying the lipstick directly on bare lips! It’s such a gorgeous shade and for sure it will look even more amazing on tanned and dark skin ladies because the shade will stand out 🙂
If you are wondering about my skin tone, I am “Punjab” in NARS Sheer glow, “4” in Armani Luminous Silk, “20” in Chanel Perfection Lumiere, and NC25 in MAC Pro Longwear foundation 🙂 I stay this shade during most of the seasons unless I get tanned in Summer which I usually go a shade darker 🙂
Hope you guys like my little short post on the lipstick 🙂 When I went to purchase this from the MAC counter at David Jones, city counter, all the other shades were sold out except for this one and the red! 😛
