Hi Guys! Today I have a makeup haul I want to show you 🙂 It’s from a brand called Doucce Cosmetics! Pronounced (Doh-Seh) XD I’ve got a range of products that I’ve tried and tested! I have also just uploaded a video review and makeup tutorial using these goodies 🙂 Here is the link to the YouTube video fresh out the oven 😉 : https://youtu.be/Kdut7afcD_0
The products I’ve got are: Freematic eyeshadows, Gloss Wear lip gloss, Cheek blush, Lucious Lip stain set, Liquid deep eyeliner, Bombastic mascara, Ultra Precision eyeliner and Wet Fusion lipstick 🙂 You can check out their website here: http://doucce.com
Let’s start off with the Freematic eyeshadows 🙂 You can purchase the palette pre-filled with colour matched shades. Or, you can do what I did and customise your palette! You’ll receive an empty palette as shown above, which is a lightweight and palm-sized shaped.
The cool thing about this palette is that it is magnetic! So you can mix and match shadows to your liking 🙂 In this palette set you’ll also receive the double ended brush to use 🙂 I really like it because one side is a flat shader brush and the other is a rounded sponge brush. I personally prefer this style over the flat sponges!
Then you’ll choose your shades. You can choose a range of matte or shimmer eyeshadows. I’m a big fan of shimmery eyeshadow so I’ve chosen all shimmer shadows to go in my palette 🙂 These are all individually packaged and housed in a cute square shaped box!
These are the colours I’ve chosen 🙂 Since there aren’t many swatches online, it was hard for me to choose the colours based on the computer swatch! And as you can compare with the above and below images, how the swatches are slightly different :O
These shades are (L-R): #56 Tessa, #61 Meagan, #71 Tatiana and #64 Felicity. I was surprised at how magenta #71 looks compared to it’s box swatch! It’s a nice colour but I’ve already got something similar from my Urban Decay VICE palette. I really like the cross patch imprint on these shadows, it looks cute and it’s different. These are also protected with a clear case over the top to prevent the shadows from getting ruined 🙂
As you can see, on the back of these shadows you’ll find 2 small magnets which will connect to the palette pan securely 🙂 It’s lightweight and not heavy at all! These shadows are described as: “The versatile silky smooth powders are so rich it feels creamy. The fine weightless powders glide on easily without smudging or creasing. Apply dry for a more natural finish or apply wet for a more long lasting dramatic look.” I think it’s great you can use these wet or dry 😛
And now you can see these how these eyeshadow pans sit in the palette! You can easily take an eyeshadow out and put it in 🙂
The palette is now set 🙂 I love these colours together, as you may have noticed I really like warm tones because it suits my skin tone so well! I rarely wear cool tones.
Now it’s swatch time! You can see how pigmented these shadows are, so a little goes a long way 🙂 You can also blend and build them up over another too! My favourite colours are definitely the rustic orange and blackcurrant shade 🙂
Next up we have the Luscious Lip Stain set 🙂 It’s cool because you get a clear lip gloss to put over the lip stain! So you can mix and match and have a matte or glossy lip depending on how you feel 🙂 I’v chosen the shade “Holiday Getaway”.
The back of the box packaging contains the ingredients 🙂 This duo is described as: “The full coverage base colour goes on matte and lasts all day without transferring or feathering. The glossy topcoat provides a multi-dimensional and vibrant shine, for that perfect night out look.”
I really like Doucce’s packaging because of the gunmetal colour! It’s unique and it feels nice in my hands when I hold the products 🙂
So with the lip stain you have a classic doe-foot applicator. This is your standard lip stain applicator 🙂 It’s the perfect tool to apply the perfect amount of product on your lips!
As for the lip gloss applicator, it’s a little different. As you can see it’s in a pointed brush style! It doesn’t apply the right amount of gloss in my opinion, so I had to dip the brush back in for extra product 🙂
Swatch time! As you can see, the lip stain gives a classic velvety-matte finish, while the gloss provides a high-shine lacquered lip look. I really like this peach-orange shade! I’ve got nothing like this in my kit so I was super excited to find out it didn’t look like what I had already XD I love peach-orange shades on my skin tone and I love how it isn’t too bright, but slightly muted. I wore this all day and it lasted all day! I only touched up the inner part of my lips after lunch 🙂 When I applied 2 layers it also didn’t look cakey or look too thick which is a plus.
As for the lipgloss, it doesn’t feel sticky and it looks super glossy on the lips, like the ones you see in magazine editorials 😛 Both the lip stain and lip gloss has no scent just so you know.
Next up is the Gloss wear lip gloss in “Sparking Sugar”. I love lip glosses that have a lot of shimmer 🙂 It makes the lip look multidimensional! I have to mention how amazing this lipgloss smells. It smells like creme brûlée 😛
The wand was a bit battered when I opened this haha but it’s no big deal 😛 It’s got a classic lip gloss brush wand which dispenses the right amount of product on the lips! This lipgloss is described as: “A multi-dimensional high shine lip gloss that shapes and sculpts the lips while keeping them hydrated. The innovative texture helps create plumped and fuller lips.”
Now as you can see from the swatch, look how glossy the texture is :O It’s not sticky at all and I love the golden shimmers in this gloss. There’s no colour on it so it’s perfect over any lipstick colour you’re wearing 🙂 Or you can wear it alone for a natural glossy pout 😉
Now we have the Bombastic mascara 🙂 I’ve chosen this mascara because of the wand! You’ll see what I mean later haha. But I also like how it provides volume AND length, which is what I look for in my perfect mascara 😛 One the website it also says: “The creamy carbon black formula is clump-resistant, flake proof, smudge proof, and resistant to sweat and humidity.” Which I agree, because I don’t get smudges on my bottom lash line at the end of the day 😀
This is the back of the packaging so you can see the ingredients 🙂
Now this is what I’m talking about! I love this type of wand on mascaras 🙂 Because I have short and sparse lashes, this style of wand really hugs every lash and separates them easily! I’m personally not a fan of the fat brushes because it’s too thick and often makes my lashes look clumpy and stubby which doesn’t suit me 🙁 If you have longer and thicker lashes that will work better! I also like this kind of wand while applying mascara on my lower lashes too 🙂
Next up is the Liquid deep eyeliner. This is obviously a liquid eyeliner, but with a wand style applicator 🙂 I’m used to using wands so I chose this, however I realised it has a felt-tip head instead of the brush head that I’m used to! It applies liquid liner easily on my eyes, however when it came to drawing the wing, it was hard to achieve the super fine wing because the felt-tip head was not thin enough. That’s why I like the brush style because it’s super fine and you can easily achieve a super sharp winged eye that can cut someone 😉
The forumla is great, it lasted on my eyes all day long! However, the formal isn’t black enough and I found I had to keep going over the area to make it as black as possible. This liner is described as: “The creamy waterproof formula glides on effortlessly, and stays on without smudging or melting. The long lasting formula provides a deep matte finish.”
These are the swatches 🙂 As you can see, it was hard to achieve a finer line with this liner, but it’s great if you don’t draw winged eyes haha. It does provide a matte finish and it lasted all day without smudging 🙂
Next up is the Cheek blush 🙂 Again the packaging is housed in a gunmetal compact.
This pressed powder blush is beautiful, I’ve chosen the shade “Zen Orange” and I love it!!!!! I love peach blush because it’s super natural instead of a pink colour haha. It’s finely milled, super smooth and doesn’t look cakey on the face either 😀 This blush is described as: “The ultra-pigmented silky smooth formula sculpts and defines cheeks for enhanced definition and brilliant payoff. The blend of silky, matte, and shimmer hues leave behind nothing but pure colour and a rich glimmer.”
As you can see above, the swatch of this shade is gorgeous and will suit any skin tone and any makeup style 😀 It lasted all day on my face and it didn’t seperate at all!
Next up we have the Wet Fusion Lipstick in the shade #011 “Cream Pearl”. It’s housed in a super sleek, lightweight gunmetal packaging 🙂
The bottom of the lipstick shows the shade number!
The colour is so pretty 😛 Again this shade looks slightly different from the online swatch. This lipstick is described as: “A lustrous, long wearing lipstick that gives off a brilliant multi-dimensional shine. The sensually soft and smooth texture glides on effortlessly, providing the lips with a full coverage radiant satin finish.”
This lipstick smells amazing! Again it smells like creme brûlée or caramel popcorn 😛 I love it and it makes it enjoyable to use 🙂 I love the texture of this lipstick as it glided on my lips so smoothly while providing an amazing full coverage with one swipe! I was so surprised because I didn’t use any lip liner at all but it provided great opacity. The finish is semi-matte with a slight shine so it’s the perfect balance.
The swatch! On my hands it looks kind of muted, but on my lips it looked so much brighter 🙂
Finally, we have the Ultra precision eyeliner. This is a classic pencil liner where you’ll need to sharpen 🙂 I have chosen the colour #500 Black of course! It is described as: “The ultimate precise waterproof pencil eyeliner. The velvety smooth formula glides on smoothly without pulling or tugging, creating an easily blended finish. The semi-matte waterproof formula is perfect for use in the waterline. Once it sets, it will not smear, flake, or budge.”
I have to say how amazed I was at this liner! I’ve used a few pencil liners where the black colour isn’t black enough and not opaque enough. But this liner surpasses them! It’s super black, glides on so creamy on the eyes without tugging, and it lasts all day without smudging 😀
This is the swatch you can see 🙂 It doesn’t look as black on my hands, but when you watch my video tutorial you’ll see how black it goes on my eyes!
These are images captured from my video 😛 I just wanted to show you guys how the makeup looks on my face along with the lip swatches! Above I am wearing the Lucious Lip stain duo 🙂
In this picture above I am wearing the Wet Fusion lipstick with the Gloss Wear lip gloss on top 🙂
That’s it for my Doucce Cosmetics haul 🙂 I hope you guys enjoyed reading this review and I hope you liked my video tutorial! They currently don’t ship internationally outside of the US, but I hope one day they’ll change it 😉
